Sensodyne IDA Shining  Star Scholarship Programme 2023-2024


About the Scholarship 

The Sensodyne IDA Shining Star Fellowship Program is a community partnership initiative of Sensodyne manufacturer Haleon India in  collaboration with Buddy4Study (B4S) and the Dental Association ofIndia (IDA). 

This program provides high level financial support to non-qualified students across India to pursue 4 year Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) programs in government or
non-governmental institutions. 

As part of Haleon India's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, 57 successful students attending the first year of BDS at a government funded college or university will be selected and awardedscholarships. 

Financial assistance of INR 4.20,000 (INR 1.05,000 per year) for 4 years will be awarded to selected students who have been assessed by IDA and B4S and meet the eligibility criteria.

Sensodyne IDA Shining  Star Scholarship Programme 2023-24

Eligibility 

  • Open only to students in the first year of the Bachelor of Dental Science (BDS) program at a federal or state university.
  • Applicants must have at least 60% in high school.
  • The applicant's annual family income must not exceed Rs 8 Lakhs.
  • Pan India Students are Eligible 

Benefits

  • INR 1,05,000 per year for 4 years at BDS to support their studies and internships. 
  • Provided that the selected scholarship holder has a grade of at least 60% per semester/year, the scholarship holder will receive a total of INR 4,20,000.
Note: This scholarship is only for tuition fee, hotel fee, food, internet, mobile phone, laptop, book, article, online education etc.

Documents 

  • Registration of last course/semester
  • State-issued ID card (Aadhaar/Voter ID/Driver's License/PAN Card)
  • Current year's Registration Certificate (School / Registration Letter / School Identity Card / Identity Document)
  • Family Income Certificate (State) ) - Declaration documents - tax documents, city income of documents, EWS (Department of Economic Weakness) proof)
  • Bank details of the applicant or guardian
  • Photo of the applicant
Note: From the second year, a report proving the last of the points exam and host for the next year scholarship A character certificate from the school must be submitted.

1. What is the review process for this scholarship program?

  • It includes the following several stages of the process:
  • Applicants are first screened based on the educational background (60%) and annual family income (under INR 8.00,000) provided at the time of application. Evidence of Electoral Register.
  • IDA and Buddy4study evaluate selected candidates through phone interviews.

2. How will Students Get Their Scholarship Amount.

  • The Scholarship amount will directly transfer to students bank account on yearly basis.

3. Is this Scholarship Continued for 4 years BDS Course.

  • Yes, Scholars can be considered for continuous scholarship for consecutive years as follows:
  • No dropout (from regular subjects)
  • No disciplinary issues
  • Get at least 60% education per year/semester.
  • Scholars must also submit the following information in the Online Scholarship Tracking System in order to be eligible for the next year's scholarship -
  • Continuing Education Certificate for the next year Work Certificate form
  • Tuition fee payment form for new academic) year

4.  Can a 1st year MBBS Students apply for this Scholarship. 

NO, This scholarship is only open to students in the first year of the BDS program.
